About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the catheterization lab. You will work under the direct supervision of a technologist to perform radiographic imaging procedures and assist providers. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Assist physicians during catheterization lab procedures by applying your knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology.
- Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment in collaboration with your preceptor.
- Monitor procedural activities to identify and respond to adverse reactions or patient conditions.
- Handle documentation for procedures, including image storage and archival.
- Take on other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in good standing within a radiology technologist program.
- CPR certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance.
