About the role#
This is a casual, paid internship opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. You will work under the supervision of a technologist to perform radiographic imaging procedures. This role requires independent judgment and initiative while assisting with patient care and department operations.
What you'll do#
- Position patients and select technical parameters for imaging procedures.
- Assist physicians and technologists during imaging tasks.
- Document clinical information and complete regulatory and billing paperwork.
- Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
- Maintain department supplies and assist with patient comfort.
- Prepare contrast media or medications as permitted by regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a radiology technologist program, maintaining good standing.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and radiation protection standards.
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and data security.
