About the role#
HII is seeking a Corporate Government Affairs Intern for the summer of 2027. This position is based in Arlington, Virginia, and involves supporting the Government and Customer Relations team. You will gain exposure to legislative and political affairs while working at our corporate office.
What you'll do#
- Support the Government and Customer Relations team with policy analysis and legislative projects.
- Research legislative bills and defense-related activities.
- Attend congressional hearings and think tank events, providing summary reports on your findings.
- Assist with Political Action Committee (PAC) recruitment and operational tasks.
- Develop presentations and manage assignments that contribute to the team's annual deliverables.
What you'll need#
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Enrollment in a 4-year college or university, or a 2+2 program.
- Current standing as a rising Junior or above, or enrollment in a Master's program.
- You must be attending school in the fall following the internship.
- Relevant coursework in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Communications, Marketing, or English.
- Ability to work a 40-hour work week for at least 10 weeks during the summer.
- US citizenship is required.
