    About the role#

    Hill College is hiring a student worker to assist the Information Technology Services department. This position provides support for daily operations and helps students, faculty, and staff with technology questions. You will work on-site in Hillsboro, Texas. This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling term.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide first-level technical support via help desk tickets, phone, email, and in-person visits.
    • Assist with software installation, password resets, printer troubleshooting, and network connectivity.
    • Set up and maintain technology for campus events, classrooms, and computer labs, including audiovisual equipment.
    • Perform basic hardware and software maintenance, such as updates and inventory checks.
    • Document all support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
    • Help staff with departmental projects and cybersecurity awareness activities.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a student at Hill College with a minimum 2.0 GPA.
    • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and Windows operating systems.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe applications.
    • Strong communication skills to explain technical information to others.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Willingness to work evenings or weekends for events as needed.

    • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform tasks requiring extended periods of sitting.
