About the role#
Join the HITT Futures Program as a Commercial Construction Intern. This paid, 10-week summer internship offers hands-on experience in construction management. You will work alongside project managers and superintendents to gain insight into the business of building. The program runs from May 24, 2027, through August 5, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support project delivery by working directly with project managers and superintendents.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers while managing materials and project files.
- Draft submittals, RFIs, and change orders to assist with document control.
- Prepare bid packages and help evaluate subcontractor bids.
- Review construction drawings and verify site conditions to support safety and quality control.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Capacity to learn project-specific software systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
