About the role#
This position is for nursing students graduating in Summer 2027. You will begin as a Nurse Extern II during your final semester and transition into a full-time Registered Nurse role once you obtain your license. This is a paid position located at St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, Illinois.
What you'll do#
- Provide patient care based on facility core values.
- Perform nursing duties within the Medical-Surgical or Emergency Department units.
- Complete the transition from a student role to a licensed professional.
- Work a full-time schedule of 36 hours per week on the night shift, from 7p to 7a.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- You must not require sponsorship for an employment Visa now or in the future.
