About the role#
This internship is a 10 to 12-week program based in St. Louis, Missouri. You will join Hubbell for the summer of 2027 to gain corporate experience and work on the AO2 design system. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Rebuild, organize, and document UI components to improve consistency, usability, and scalability.
- Apply design systems principles and atomic design methodology.
- Collaborate with designers on component standards.
- Contribute to Design Operations initiatives, including workflows, governance, and documentation.
- Manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently.
- Present a project summary to the local management team at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university throughout the internship period.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or Computer Science.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Familiarity with relevant design software and systems.

- Pay: $22.50 to $29.00 per hour, based on academic standing and expected graduation date.
