About the role#
Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is hiring for a Vehicle Energy Model Development Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Superior, Michigan.
What you'll do#
You will work on developing and validating vehicle energy models. Your daily tasks include analyzing energy consumption and efficiency data to support model integration into vehicle systems. You will also prepare technical reports and presentations while working alongside cross-functional teams.
What you'll need#
We are looking for students pursuing degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Environmental Engineering. You should have strong analytical skills with a focus on energy modeling. Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for data analysis is required. We value familiarity with vehicle energy systems and the ability to work both independently and within a team. Effective communication skills are essential for this role.
