About the role#
As a Residential Solar Operations Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting solar projects and customers. You will work with experienced team members to manage operational processes and contribute to projects that help the business run efficiently. This role is for students who enjoy solving problems, working with data, and improving business processes within the renewable energy industry.
What you'll do#
- Support day-to-day processes for residential solar projects and customers.
- Develop and update user guides, job aids, and documentation.
- Audit completed work, identify issues, and provide status updates to management.
- Collaborate with internal teams and engineering, procurement, and construction partners.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and business processes.
- Gain exposure to areas including billing, solar system monitoring, reporting, and contract management.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, nested IF statements, and Boolean logic.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and SharePoint.
- Basic document management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and technology aptitude.
