About the role#
Interfor is hiring a Maintenance Intern for a full-time, on-site position in Elk Lake, Ontario. This summer 2027 internship offers hands-on experience in a sawmill environment. You will work alongside maintenance and operations professionals to solve technical challenges and improve equipment reliability.
What you'll do#

What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Interest in hands-on industrial work and collaboration with team members.
Location & details#
- Location: Elk Lake, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027 (4 to 8 months).
- Compensation: Starting at $3,350 per month, plus a temporary living allowance for those relocating.
- Requirements: Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.
