About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the basics of college campus ministry at DePaul University. The role is designed for students currently enrolled in college who want to grow in spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills. You will work to advance the mission of InterVarsity while maturing as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and achieve goals for growth and transformation.
- Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by helping build witnessing communities that are ethnically diverse.
- Proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the campus community.
- Model and assist students in growing their love for people of every culture and ethnicity.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students, including those who do not yet follow Jesus.
- Act as an ambassador for the organization to ministry partners and churches.
- Engage with training and supervision provided by your staff ministry director.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ.
- You can annually affirm the InterVarsity Statement of Agreement.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, communication, and professionalism.
- You show cultural competence, teamwork, and relational maturity.
- You are currently enrolled in a college program. Third-year students and higher are eligible for this four-year university placement.
- Relevant academic backgrounds include Psychology, Communications, or Sociology.
