About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the basics of college campus ministry. It is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. You will work with a campus ministry team to grow in spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills. This role is part-time and requires you to raise your own donor team to fund your salary.
What you'll do#
- Participate with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Teach students how to love, study, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus to help build witnessing communities that are bolder, broader, and more ethnically diverse.
- Proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Guide chapter segments in strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students.
- Serve as an ambassador to ministry partners and churches.
- Engage with training and supervision from your ministry director.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ.
- You can annually affirm the InterVarsity Statement of Agreement.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities such as initiative, self-awareness, communication, and cross-cultural competence.
- You are currently enrolled in a college program. Third-year students and higher may work at four-year or community colleges. Second-year students and community college students may intern at two-year or community colleges.

- Locations: Michigan, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: This is a paid position funded through personal fundraising. Eligibility for benefits, including health care and retirement savings, depends on employee type and hours worked.
