About the role#
Studio Staff members manage the off-campus studio space at the South Hill Business Campus. You will assist students and clients with check-in and check-out processes, provide location tours, and handle general maintenance. This role has no set schedule or guaranteed hours. Assignments are based on your availability as reservations are made. Please note that only students with majors or minors in the Park School of Communications are eligible. Preference is given to students who have participated in Park Productions workshops or events.
What you'll do#
- Greet and assist students and clients who reserve the studio.
- Provide tours for location scouts and answer questions about the space.
- Conduct orientations at the start of a reservation to explain guidelines and equipment use.
- Perform final walkthroughs at the end of a reservation to check for damages or left-behind items.
- Ensure users follow safety protocols and studio guidelines.
- Maintain the studio space and monitor equipment, including changing the door PIN after each use.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student with a major or minor in the Park School of Communications.
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including late nights and weekends.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of studio technology, equipment, and maintenance.
- Previous experience in hospitality or space management is preferred but not required.
- Ability to multitask and work with a variety of people.
