About the role#
The Unity Center at Ithaca College is looking for responsible students to manage transportation for programs, events, and off-campus excursions. You will ensure students have reliable access to activities that support community and engagement. This position is open for the full academic year.
What you'll do#
- Safely drive college rental vehicles to transport students, staff, and materials to and from events.
- Ensure timely arrival and departure for all scheduled activities to support Unity Center programs.
- Perform basic vehicle checks for cleanliness, fuel levels, and any visible issues before and after use.
- Stay present and available for the entire duration of your assigned events, as you are paid for the full trip timeline.
- Communicate clearly with staff regarding schedules, potential delays, or any concerns.
- Attend necessary meetings or briefings related to upcoming trips.
What you'll need#
- You must be a certified college-approved driver or willing to complete the certification process before driving.
- You must meet all college risk management, CAN certification, and driver eligibility requirements.
- You are expected to complete all required onboarding and training, which is paid for by the Unity Center.
- Reliability, punctuality, and accountability are essential for this role.
- You must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.

- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $16.00 per hour, paid for the full duration of assigned events and trips.
