About the role#
The Wound Closure & Healing R&D team is looking for a Co-op to assist in the development of the STRATAFIX barbed suture product line. You will work within our MedTech Surgery organization in Raritan, New Jersey, supporting projects that improve surgical outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Conduct hands-on laboratory work in engineering labs.
- Perform engineering studies and develop fixtures.
- Create models and drawings using SolidWorks.
- Fabricate and evaluate prototypes through surgeon Voice-of-Customer events.
- Write test protocols, generate final reports, and document meeting minutes.
- Collaborate with engineers and outside suppliers to support project activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Completed at least your freshman year of college.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the Co-op session.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
