About the role#
Johnson & Johnson is hiring Electrical Engineering Co-ops for the Spring 2027 term. This position is located in Cincinnati, Ohio, and requires on-site attendance. You will join our MedTech sector to support the development of surgical robotics, electronic operating room equipment, and electromechanical surgical instruments.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing, experimentation, and validation to support product design.
- Assist with the troubleshooting, assembly, and fabrication of prototypes and equipment.
- Gain hands-on experience in circuit design, printed circuit board design, and firmware or software development.
- Support laboratory testing and data analysis to recommend next steps for projects.
- Contribute to the development of systems for automated data acquisition and visualization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two semesters of coursework prior to the start of the co-op.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for future sponsorship.
- Experience with analog hardware design, embedded systems, and scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB.
- Ability to use standard electrical laboratory equipment like oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
