About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support children and families with significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work within our Community Based Services division to help youth succeed at home, in school, and in the community. You will receive supervision from licensed staff to support your clinical growth and degree completion.
What you'll do#
- Learn to use new clinical interventions to support youth in social and educational settings.
- Explore your clinical knowledge through evidence-based and culturally competent modalities.
- Strengthen your documentation skills and gain experience with electronic medical records.
- Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team supporting youth and families.
What you'll need#
- You must be working toward at least a Bachelor's degree in mental health, social work, or a human service field.
- An interest in working with children and adolescents is required.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
- You must have good written and oral communication skills.
- Please note that background and driving record checks will be performed.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located in Norton, Massachusetts.
- The internship is paid and full-time.
