About the role#
K&M Tire, Inc is hiring an HR Recruiter Intern to assist with the full recruitment life cycle for warehouse positions across multiple regions. This role reports to the HR Recruiting Manager and focuses on supporting the team with sourcing, screening, and onboarding talent.
What you'll do#
- Partner with hiring managers to understand their specific hiring needs and interview schedules.
- Support recruiters in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, and extending offers.
- Conduct phone screens and coordinate interviews.
- Initiate prescreening processes such as criminal background checks, drug screens, DOT medical exams, or MVRs.
- Document approvals for background checks and adjudicate hiring decisions based on results.
- Manage and track job openings within the HRIS system and SharePoint.
- Coordinate drug testing and physicals for potential candidates.
- Facilitate a professional candidate experience from initial application through onboarding.
- Respond to candidate questions and provide information during the offer delivery process.
- Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system and link job requisitions to the company website.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Human Resources degree program at an accredited college or university.
- Knowledge of recruiting practices.
- Ability to work independently and organize tasks effectively.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- A friendly, positive attitude and high attention to detail.
- A professional demeanor.
- Proficiency with office equipment and software, including Word and Excel.
