About the role#
As a Finance Intern, you will support finance and accounting activities while reporting to the Finance Manager. This role provides practical experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting. You will work 25-35 hours per week for a duration of 14-18 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and present monthly gross margins for business segments and offer recommendations for efficiency.
- Track and report on finance department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) monthly.
- Assist with budget versus actual performance analysis for revenue, costs, and operating expenses.
- Review weekly Accounts Receivable Aging Reports and support the invoicing process.
- Manage daily Accounts Payable tasks, including vendor payments and relationship maintenance.
- Build and analyze pricing models for school programs and conduct scenario-based gross margin analysis.
- Evaluate the company school portfolio to forecast financial impacts of growth and new customers.
- Lead meetings with other departments to report on and evaluate monthly program margins.
What you'll need#
- Recent graduate or current master's student with a focus on organizational finance, accounting, or business administration.
- Experience in data analytics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on Excel.
- Ability to work across departments.
