About the role#
KTA-Tator, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician Intern to join the team for the Fall 2026 through Spring 2027 term. This role provides hands-on experience with analytical and physical testing in a professional laboratory environment. You will work alongside staff to support daily operations and various technical projects.
What you'll do#
- Prepare samples for testing.
- Perform bench, instrumental, and physical testing experiments.
- Manage sample disposal according to laboratory protocols.
- Assist with additional projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in material science, chemistry, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Interest in applied science.
- Ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently.
- Willingness to work with messy materials and strong odors.
- Ability to safely lift 40 pounds or more.
- Ability to stand for long periods, wear respiratory protection, and perform tasks requiring color and near-distance vision.
Location & details#
- Location: Findlay Township, Pennsylvania. This position is on-site, and candidates must be able to commute to the office.
- Term: Fall 2026 through May 2027.
- Schedule: 12 or more hours per week, with flexibility based on your school schedule.
- Compensation: $15 per hour.
