About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will work on the design and development of electrical systems for military and commercial aircraft, as well as ground stations. You will gain experience across various aircraft platforms while working on diverse technical tasks.
What you'll do#
- Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, and control panels using CAD software.
- Prepare engineering drawings and coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams.
- Develop avionics systems, RF, LAN, data processing, and power distribution systems.
- Perform electrical loads analysis and develop load shedding schemes.
- Support the testing and integration of systems directly on aircraft.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field at an accredited university.
- Familiarity with CAD and PLM software, such as NX and Teamcenter, is preferred.
- Knowledge of Siemens Capital software is a plus.

- This position is based in Carlsbad, California.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where employees work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
