About the role#
This is a 12-month co-op position based in Waterdown, Ontario. You will work on-site as part of the manufacturing team to support the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems. This role is paid at $23/hr.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and interpret complex mechanical and electrical schematics to guide assembly and testing.
- Assemble electro-mechanical components with attention to detail and process adherence.
- Handle chemicals, primers, and sealants while following safety protocols.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot motors, sensors, and wire harnesses to ensure system reliability.
- Operate environmental screening equipment, including thermal chambers and vibration tables.
- Document test results, maintenance records, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with operation engineers and production teams to resolve technical challenges and improve assembly processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a mechanical or electro-mechanical technician or technologist diploma program.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and test procedures.
- Experience assembling, configuring, and testing complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience loading, configuring, and verifying software on integrated hardware.
- Experience with environmental and performance testing equipment.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team.
