About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles to develop software. You will work with cross-functional engineering teams to build and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software. This role involves participating in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to final testing, specifically for embedded software in tactical radio equipment.
What you'll do#
- Develop software test procedures, programs, and technical documentation.
- Evaluate operational performance requirements and overall system design.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data and conduct experimental tests.
- Participate in peer reviews to maintain code quality.
- Identify, track, and repair software defects.
- Work with various languages including C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, and Python across Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program at an accredited university.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, or Digital Arts and Sciences.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Bristol, Pennsylvania.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
- The work schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
