About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on software development for tactical radio equipment. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
What you'll do#
- Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles to develop software applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and evaluate hardware-software interfaces.
- Define operational performance requirements and system designs.
- Participate in every phase of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to final testing.
- Write software programs, test procedures, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools to conduct tests, gather operating data, and evaluate results.
- Take part in peer reviews to identify, track, and fix software defects.
- Work with languages such as C++, C, Java, Python, and SQL across Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD at an accredited university.
- Relevant fields of study include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, or Digital Arts and Sciences.
Location & details#
- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Work schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes working 80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off.
- This role is on-site and does not offer sponsorship.
