About the role#
Labcorp is seeking a Project Specialist Intern to join the Denial Workflow and Automation Team. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on projects that support revenue cycle operations by identifying ways to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. This role is based in Burlington, North Carolina, and operates on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Analyze denial operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of reporting solutions and automated workflows.
- Support inventory management and validation for Standard Operating Procedures.
- Contribute to data analysis, process improvement initiatives, and special projects.
- Participate in training sessions and apply new skills to your daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program.
- Progress toward a degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or Accounting.
- Exposure to data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence tools like Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- A genuine interest in corporate billing processes and a willingness to follow established procedures.
- Professional conduct and punctuality.
Location & details#
- Location: Burlington, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week).
- Duration: 11 weeks, from June 1, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- Note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
