About the role#
As a Process Excellence Associate Intern, you will join the Process Excellence (PEX) team to improve how our organization operates. You will focus on making processes more efficient, effective, consistent, and customer-focused. This role involves using data and structured improvement methods to reduce waste, errors, and cycle time while improving overall quality.
What you'll do#
- Support PEX initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvement and assisting with implementation.
- Develop and maintain process documentation within PEX systems.
- Support the coordination and execution of optimization projects.
- Assist with the evaluation and implementation of process automation solutions.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data to support improvement recommendations.
- Participate in team meetings, workshops, and discussions to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support Process Excellence objectives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Coursework in Process Improvement, Engineering, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or Operations Management.
- At least 3 months of experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, or visualization.
- At least 3 months of exposure to process automation or robotic process automation (RPA) tools.
- At least 3 months of experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision-making.
- At least 3 months of experience creating reports, dashboards, process maps, or presentations.
- At least 3 months of experience participating in process improvement, continuous improvement, operational excellence, Lean, or Six Sigma projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

- Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 1, 2027 to August 13, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
- Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
