About the role#
Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern or Co-op for the Fall 2026 term in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time, paid position that requires on-site attendance. You will work directly with project teams on land development and infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience with site feasibility studies, design plans, and technical reporting.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and modify engineering documents, including reports, specifications, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
- Analyze soil composition and terrain using maps, drawings, aerial photographs, and engineering plans.
- Conduct field inspections as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to complete project assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year or advanced degree program in Civil Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical capabilities and a high level of attention to detail.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits and meetings.
