    About the role#

    This internship program offers community college students hands-on experience in IT operations. You will work on projects involving mobile device management, desktop support, and IT service desk operations. The program runs during the summer of 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide customer support by answering process-related questions and resolving technical issues with mobile devices, desktop computers, and software.
    • Provision, deploy, and manage mobile devices following established policies.
    • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, printers, and software applications.
    • Diagnose and resolve basic to moderately complex issues with systems, printers, and networks.
    • Participate in an end-of-summer poster presentation.

    What you'll need#

    • You are a continuing student at an accredited community college pursuing an associate's degree in computer information systems, computer networking technology, or a related field.
    • You have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • You are at least 18 years old at the start of the internship.
    • You have experience working with personal computers and are proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • You are eligible to access the Laboratory in compliance with Section 3112 of the National Defense Authorization Act.

    • The role is on-site and full-time.
