About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Dallas, Texas, as part of the Electro Optical Infrared Systems line of business. The role involves a 12-14 week assignment following a 9/80 work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Audit processes and conduct experiments in a Class 100 cleanroom or laboratory environment.
- Perform inspections using a laboratory microscope.
- Handle flammable, corrosive, and caustic chemicals safely.
- Update documentation and present findings to the Change Control Board.
- Compile, analyze, and present technical data.
- Perform administrative tasks, including drafting documents and preparing routine reports.
- Manage and organize data using database applications.
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and project team activities.
- Maintain equipment and materials according to established safety procedures.
- Represent the company professionally during in-person and phone interactions.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or Computer Science.
- Completion of at least 2 years of college with Junior or Senior standing.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Natural curiosity and a focus on solving complex problems.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain or maintain an active DOD security clearance.
- Coding experience in languages such as Java, C#, Python, or VB is a plus.
