About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Cypress, California, as part of the Electro-Optical and Infrared Systems team. The program lasts 12 to 14 weeks and follows a 9/80 work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, analyze, and test software using real-time operating systems.
- Assist engineering staff with research, design support, and documentation for embedded and analytical systems.
- Develop procedures for software installation and maintenance.
- Interact with users to define system requirements and necessary modifications.
- Provide regular status reports on your progress.
- Perform various tasks to learn about company engineering methods and practices.
- Complete all assigned work on time.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university pursuing an undergraduate, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3rd year status or an Associate's degree in an engineering curriculum.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain an active DOD security clearance.
