About the role#
This student worker position provides front-line support at the LaHaye Ice Center. You will act as the first point of contact for guests, handle daily facility operations, and assist Club Sports staff with various administrative duties. This is a part-time, on-site role that supports the daily functions of the ice rink and its associated programs.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests and assist visitors for rink events, meetings, and public skating sessions.
- Manage front desk operations, including tracking guest usage and recording facility entries.
- Handle payment processing for event admissions, team dues, concessions, and apparel.
- Receive and distribute incoming mail and packages for staff and coaches.
- Answer phone inquiries regarding schedules, ticket information, and coach contact details.
- Assist staff with scheduling systems, document creation, and summer camp operations.
- Perform opening and closing duties for the facility.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license and an acceptable DMV record.
- Enrollment in a relevant program such as Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or Human Resources is preferred.
