About the role#
This position supports the Nutrition Department with the daily operations of the Foods Lab. You will help keep the lab organized, maintain inventory, and ensure that equipment is ready for student use. This is a part-time role requiring an average of 10 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Manage the Foods Lab by organizing equipment and supplies.
- Prepare shopping lists for groceries and lab materials.
- Check the pantry, freezer, and refrigerator for expired items.
- Ensure lab equipment functions properly and report any necessary repairs.
- Restock first aid supplies.
- Assist with lab setup and help students during scheduled lab times.
- Keep the lab space clean and ensure workstations are stocked.
- Lift and carry grocery items and other supplies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at Lipscomb University.
- Federal Work Study status is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory on a timely basis.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Google software.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech.
- A punctual and motivated approach to professional development.
