About the role#
The Office of Intercultural Development (OID) offers a paid internship for students to gain leadership experience, promote cultural awareness, and encourage unity. This role supports the OID mission through event planning, marketing, and student engagement. We tailor specific duties based on your interests and areas of expertise.
What you'll do#
- Attend leadership trainings and meetings.
- Manage content for OID social media, calendars, and websites.
- Organize and implement campus programs like cultural trivia nights and breakout chapels.
- Create marketing and advertising materials for office events.
- Coordinate community service opportunities for students.
- Develop methods to gather student feedback on programs.
- Represent the office at recruiting and new student events.
- Assist with planning major cultural awareness events.
- Provide general support to OID staff and handle front desk duties.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status at Lipscomb University in good standing.
- Completion of at least one year of study (sophomore, junior, or senior).
- A minimum 2.75 GPA.
- Availability to work at least 10 hours per week.
- Interest in marketing and communications to advance the OID mission.
- Commitment to discussing topics like race, religion, and socioeconomic status.
- Knowledge of campus and off-campus resources.
- Majors in Communications, Psychology, Marketing, Sociology, or Business Administration are preferred.

- This is a paid position and may be eligible for Federal Work Study.
