About the role#
Join our Applied Machine Learning team to help solve operational challenges across one of Canada's largest supply chains. While the team name mentions machine learning, the daily work focuses on software development, data engineering, and process automation. You will own projects from concept to production, moving through the full software development lifecycle while receiving team mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Develop Python applications to automate supply chain processes.
- Write efficient SQL queries against enterprise datasets in BigQuery and Oracle.
- Design, build, test, and deploy internal tools used by Supply Chain teams.
- Partner with business users to translate operational challenges into technical solutions.
- Investigate production issues, troubleshoot problems, and improve existing automation.
- Create clear technical documentation for your solutions.
- Identify new opportunities to eliminate manual work through automation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program for Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering.
- Experience writing Python applications and SQL queries.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
- Curiosity and a willingness to independently learn new technologies.
- Ability to solve ambiguous business problems with practical software.
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to build maintainable, reliable software.
- Ability to work independently while communicating progress effectively.
