    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship based in Rochester, Minnesota. You will work on developing and applying methods to identify somatic mutations in sequenced human blood samples, specifically focusing on whole genome data at 30X coverage.

    What you'll do#

    • Support moderately complex software systems.
    • Design, develop, implement, and maintain custom software.
    • Install and maintain purchased software systems.
    • Create documentation including system requirements, designs, and project plans.
    • Receive guidance and supervision, with your work reviewed for quality and timeliness at key milestones.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a PhD program for Computer Science or a related Informatics field.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Experience with Python, Unix environments, and tools for processing next-generation sequencing data is preferred.

    • This position is located on-site in Rochester, MN.
    • The internship term is rolling.
