About the role#
As a Design-Build Co-op, you will apply your classroom knowledge directly to construction projects. You will work alongside project managers, superintendents, and architects to support the design and construction process. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Read and interpret construction drawings, documents, and requests for proposals.
- Assist in creating project schedules and participate in project planning.
- Create scopes of work and bid packages.
- Perform quantity take-offs of materials and items from drawings.
- Communicate schedule expectations and drawing updates to subcontractors.
- Administer submittals, shop drawings, and record drawing logs.
- Generate contracts, prepare monthly invoices, and issue change-orders.
- Attend meetings and record meeting minutes.
- Perform daily on-site reporting of operations and progress.
- Formulate weekly progress reports for owner review.
- Deliver miscellaneous packages, including permits and submittals.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Prior experience in Microsoft Project, BlueBeam, Procore, and Timberline software is preferred.
- Ability to maintain ownership of tasks and dig into project details.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and cultivate positive working relationships.
- A resilient work ethic and a focus on providing superior service.

- This role requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform occasional observational visits to construction sites where protective equipment may be required.
