About the role#
The Project Management Intern will train across plant and field operations to build a foundation in construction management. You will work with a mentor to gain experience in the full lifecycle of precast concrete projects. This is a full-time, paid position based in Greenville, South Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Train in plant operations, including production, steel fabrication, material handling, quality control, and the carpentry shop.
- Visit project sites to observe the erection process.
- Assist with project planning by developing schedules and timelines.
- Follow all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
- Work in both office and plant environments, which may include exposure to changing weather conditions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program for Construction Science Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of project management principles and tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with project management software like Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to safe working behaviors.
Location & details#
- Location: Greenville, South Carolina.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm (hours may vary during production training).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 lbs, bend, and climb up to 15 feet using stairs.
