About the role#
We are looking for a summer intern to join the Corporate Labs team. You will work on advanced spectroscopy and nanoscale characterization projects. This role focuses on semiconductor thin films, surfaces, and interfaces. You will gain experience in experimental design and data analytics within an industrial laboratory environment.
What you'll do#
- Conduct experiments using advanced spectroscopy and microscopy to characterize semiconductor thin films and surfaces.
- Collect, process, and interpret spectroscopy data, including photoluminescence, Raman, and AFM-IR datasets.
- Create visualization workflows to communicate your results.
- Correlate spectroscopic signatures with material properties, process conditions, and defect behavior.
- Use AI-enabled tools to assist with data analysis, coding, and technical documentation.
- Maintain laboratory safety standards and documentation.
- Present your findings through a final technical report and presentation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (junior standing or above), Master's degree, or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of spectroscopy, microscopy, or semiconductor materials.
- Hands-on experience with at least one analytical technique, such as fluorescence, Raman, or FTIR.
- Proficiency with data analysis software like Python, MATLAB, or Origin.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Boise, Idaho.
