    About the role#

    Micron Technology is hiring an Engineering Intern for the DRAM Build Enablement and Test Structure Engineering team. You will work on the development, layout, verification, and analysis of semiconductor test structures used to characterize advanced DRAM technologies. This role provides hands-on experience with EDA tools, physical build methodologies, and silicon evaluation techniques.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop and arrange semiconductor test structures for advanced DRAM technology nodes.
    • Support physical verification tasks including DRC, LVS, and predefined validation.
    • Run semiconductor device, process, and test-structure simulations to evaluate build assumptions and predict electrical behavior.
    • Build, modify, and verify layout data using EDA tools.
    • Analyze electrical characterization results and write technical reports.
    • Write automation scripts in Python, Tcl, or similar languages.
    • Explore AI-assisted engineering workflows for automation and data analysis.
    • Collaborate with technology development, process integration, and device engineering teams.
    • Document methodologies, results, and technical guidelines.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor, Master, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
    • Graduation date no earlier than September 2027.
    • Basic understanding of semiconductor devices and integrated circuit fundamentals.
    • Experience with coding or scripting in Python, Tcl, or Perl.
    • Coursework or project experience in VLSI build, semiconductor processing, or device physics.
    • Hands-on experience with EDA tools like Cadence Virtuoso or Calibre.
    • Knowledge of physical build verification concepts including DRC and LVS.
    • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
