About the role#
The Mask Technology Center at Micron develops and manufactures advanced photomasks for semiconductor fabrication. As an intern on the Yield Enhancement team, you will use data to identify and reduce yield loss. You will work on manufacturing performance through statistical modeling, automation, and AI-enabled problem solving.
What you'll do#
- Analyze manufacturing, process, quality, and yield data to find trends and improvement opportunities.
- Create dashboards, visualizations, and automated reports to support operational decisions.
- Use statistical methods and machine learning to investigate yield loss and process variation.
- Work with Yield Enhancement, Process Engineering, and Manufacturing teams on process optimization.
- Complete one end-to-end analytics project that delivers measurable impact.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- You will be a senior undergraduate student or higher by the start date.
- You cannot graduate before September 2027.
- You have experience with Python, R, SQL, JMP, or similar analytics tools.
- You have worked with statistical analysis, data modeling, or large datasets.

- This is an on-site role based in Boise, Idaho.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- The internship term is rolling.
