About the role#
This IT Support internship provides hands-on experience within a professional consulting environment. You will work alongside IT professionals to manage local infrastructure and support end-users. This is a part-time position based on-site in Omaha, Nebraska, for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Provide Helpdesk support for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Investigate technical problems through thorough research and testing.
- Install and configure new hardware and software systems.
- Relocate and set up existing equipment, which requires lifting up to 30 pounds and navigating physical spaces like stairs or tight areas.
- Guide users on how to operate new software and equipment.
- Maintain and update internal IT documentation and knowledge base entries.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Practical experience with Windows Operating Systems, specifically Windows 11 and Office 365.
- Hands-on skills in troubleshooting hardware such as laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Understanding of basic TCP/IP networking.
- Ability to work up to 29 hours per week.
- Physical capability to perform tasks like crawling, kneeling, and moving equipment using carts.
