About the role#
Milliman is offering a Summer 2027 actuarial internship within the CMH Health practice. This is a paid, full-time opportunity to gain practical experience through consulting assignments, including pricing, financial projections, and model development. You will work alongside experienced actuaries and consultants, with potential for a full-time position upon completion of the internship.
What you'll do#
- Perform data analysis and actuarial calculations using Excel, VBA, SAS, and Python.
- Participate in consulting activities such as reserving, forecasting, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Review the work of peers and assist with research and product development.
- Coordinate with project teams to prepare and present client deliverables.
- Attend professional staff and department meetings to gain exposure to various actuarial functions.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, finance, accounting, or a related quantitative field.
- At least one actuarial exam passed.
- Junior standing is preferred, though sophomore students may apply.
- A GPA of 3.2 or above is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site at least four days per week.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- This position is based on-site at least four days per week (Monday through Thursday) in Chicago, Illinois, Brookfield, Wisconsin, or Windsor, Connecticut.
- This is a paid, non-exempt, overtime-eligible role.
