About the role#
Milliman is seeking an IT Support Intern to join our Casualty IT team in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This role involves managing end-user systems, including hardware, software, and networking for our local office. You will work on-site during the 2026-27 school year, committing to 10 to 30 hours per week. This position is open to students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
What you'll do#
- Respond to incoming help tickets and ad hoc requests from users.
- Resolve technical issues and research incidents with attention to detail.
- Create, update, and review technical process documentation.
- Physically install and configure new hardware, software, and systems.
- Provide A/V support for in-office meetings.
- Assist with hardware refresh workflows and equipment relocation.
What you'll need#
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft software.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows 11 and O365 environment.
- Experience using AI tools like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or GitHub in academic or professional projects.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
- Ability to physically lift 40 pounds and navigate office spaces to install equipment.
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach to problem-solving.
