    About the role#

    MIT Lincoln Laboratory is hiring a Cyber Security Co-op for the Winter and Spring 2027 terms. You will join a team that monitors and protects research systems from IT threats. This position is based on-site in Lexington, Massachusetts. You will work in a mission-driven research environment alongside security professionals.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the daily operations of the Cyber Security team.
    • Monitor network traffic and analyze security alerts.
    • Identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalous activity.
    • Develop and implement solutions to mitigate cyber security risks.
    • Collaborate with team members to protect enterprise systems.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Familiarity with networking, operating systems, or security concepts.
    • Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Location: Lexington, MA.
    • Term: Winter 2027 and Spring 2027.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Employment: Full-time, paid position.
    • Requirements: U.S. citizenship is required. The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
