About the role#
The Enterprise Collaboration, AI, and Web Services (ECAWS) team provides web and collaboration tools to support the technical mission and daily operations of the Laboratory. This co-op role involves working alongside developers to design and build web interfaces and APIs. You will gain hands-on experience with enterprise applications and standards-driven development practices.
What you'll do#
- Manage content management systems, specifically Drupal and its modules, including software upgrades and research.
- Support the Atlassian software suite, including JIRA and Confluence.
- Assist with updates, testing, issue resolution, and documentation throughout the software development life cycle.
- Audit systems to identify security vulnerabilities and perform hardening tasks.
- Update and organize knowledge base articles to ensure consistent team information.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Interest in AI-enabled applications, web development, and application integration.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a structured, mission-driven environment.
- Understanding of Linux, Apache, and cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).
- Familiarity with the LAMP stack is desirable.
- U.S. citizenship is required. You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.

- Compensation: $25-$32 per hour, based on year in school.
