    About the role#

    As an Embedded Software Engineer Co-op at MORSE Corp, you will support hardware and software integration or Unmanned Aircraft Systems R&D programs. You will work through the entire engineering design cycle, from initial concept to final deployment. You will collaborate with experts in sensing and control technologies to integrate new capabilities into vehicle platforms.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop embedded software for autonomous systems.
    • Update and run simulation software to test and evaluate new capabilities.
    • Work with subject matter experts to integrate algorithms and subsystems into vehicle platforms.
    • Support flight tests, including system setup, checkouts, ground station operation, and data analysis.
    • Communicate design status, test results, and technical suggestions.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proficiency with C, C++, Python, and Rust.
    • Experience with RTOS and embedded communication protocols like UART, I2C, and CAN.
    • Experience with control hardware setup, such as telemetry harnesses, radio configuration, and power systems.
    • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
    • US Citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

    • Compensation: $28 to $33 per hour.
