About the role#
MORSE Corp is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer Co-op to join our team. You will design, implement, and manage complex machine learning algorithms and systems. This role involves working with a team of engineers to transition algorithms into production environments, including cloud platforms, on-prem servers, and real-time embedded systems. You will support projects across various domains, such as computer vision, large language models, agentic AI, and audio analysis.
What you'll do#
- Develop, fine-tune, train, and optimize machine learning models.
- Use MLOps tools for experiment tracking, data management, and reproducibility.
- Write efficient, maintainable, and robust code.
- Review machine learning research to identify and apply new techniques.
- Conduct experiments and perform evaluations to assess the effectiveness of computer vision models.
- Acquire truth data, integrate and test algorithms, and analyze data from field tests.
What you'll need#
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Aerospace, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Proven experience applying computer vision models, frameworks, and libraries.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure.
- Experience with Docker and MLOps tools such as Airflow, MLFlow, or AimStack.
- Experience with data processing and interest or experience in agentic AI.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- The role is on-site in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Arlington, Virginia, or Seattle, Washington.
- We offer rolling terms for this co-op position.
