About the role#
MORSE Corp is looking for Python Software Engineer Co-ops to help build software that tests, evaluates, and deploys machine learning at scale. You will work on full stack web applications, data pipelines, and cloud-hosted infrastructure for various DoD customers. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Build, automate, and optimize big data pipelines and supporting software for machine learning evaluation.
- Develop custom software packages and full stack applications.
- Perform backend development, data engineering, and DevSecOps tasks using AWS or Azure tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and ship new features.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews by providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Integrate open-source tools and algorithms to solve complex problems.
What you'll need#
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
- Current enrollment in a BS or BA program for Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Working knowledge of software development architectures and emerging technologies.
- Understanding of version control systems, specifically Git.
- Experience with Docker and Spark is a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
Location & details#
- This role is on-site in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Arlington, Virginia, or Seattle, Washington.
- The position follows a rolling term schedule.
