About the role#
This internship is part of the Chemical Biology team within the Quantitative Biosciences department. You will contribute to research focused on understanding cellular biology through modern experimental techniques. The role involves evaluating targeted protein detection methods for characterizing protein microenvironments and gaining experience with tools used in drug discovery. This is a full-time position for 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Apply proximity labeling techniques to investigate protein interactions in human cell-based systems.
- Design and execute proof-of-concept studies to evaluate platforms for identifying and quantifying proteins captured via affinity-based enrichment.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, then present your findings to stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss projects, develop experimental strategies, and troubleshoot technical challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS, BA, MS, or PhD program in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, or chemical biology.
