About the role#
This internship is part of the Future Talent Program within the Global Clinical Data Standards division. You will spend up to 12 weeks working on projects that support the development and maintenance of clinical data standards. This role is a full-time, paid position designed to provide hands-on experience in clinical trial operations.
What you'll do#
- Use data curation and analysis skills to uncover business insights for service management.
- Apply FAIR principles to data standard definitions to encourage re-use.
- Identify, implement, and measure process improvements.
- Support data mapping from investigator sites to FDA-compliant SDTM reporting.
- Evaluate new terms for CDISC controlled terminology and submit them for approval.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Biomedical Sciences, or Public Health.
- Understanding of information management practices.
- Knowledge of industry standards including CDISC SDTM, ADaM, HL7, and Controlled Terminologies.
- Experience manipulating and combining data from different sources.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, SAS, or VBA.
- Ability to solve problems and collaborate across business and technical teams.
- Strong communication skills.
